Congress 2006, Canada’s award winning international horticultural trade show and conference, takes place January 10-12 at the Toronto Congress Centre.
New features this year:
• Internet Café (Booth 16), sponsored by General Motors of Canada Ltd.
• Husqvarna Forest & Garden, a Gold Sponsor of Congress, will also be sponsoring a Chain Saw Tear Down Competition in Booth 1760.
• The New Product Showcase has been expanded by 600 square feet. Visitors will be able to vote for the Best New Product of the show. Results are tallied and announced in the March issue of Horticulture Review. The Showcase is located near the main entrance.
• “History on View” Antique lawn and garden equipment will be on display in Booth 58.
• Close by in Booth 37, the Small Engines Emissions Council will present short, informative seminars on such varied topics as preventative maintenance, service intervals, mufflers and safety.
• “As Seen on TV” – a new addition to the conference line up will show retailers and garden centre personnel the hot new trends and designs from Europe and how television is affecting green industry consumer behaviour. The speaker, David Domoney, is the highly successful British garden television personality and garden designer. The seminar, which takes place on Tuesday, January 10 at 4:00 pm in the Pinsent Room, is free to all attendees to the trade show and conference. The Domoney seminar is sponsored by the British Consulate General.
Congress, an initiative of Landscape Ontario, takes place January 10, 11 and 12 at the Toronto Congress Centre, 650 Dixon Rd., near Pearson International Airport.
