Peering into the Future – Learning from the European Experience

This year the Interior Plantscape group is planning a unique Breakfast Meeting that will feature Mr. Robert van Aerts of the Westplant Green Facility.  ‘Peering into the Future-Learning from the European Experience’ will enlighten you on different approaches to the use of plants in offices in the past, today and in the future. While there are different products, systems, marketing and maintenance programs in Europe, the challenges of teaching the benefits of plants in the workplace remain the same and Robert will talk about some of the successful strategies that have inspired people to work in the Interior Plantscape industry.

Speaker Profile

Robert van Aerts is the Vice President of Westplant Green Facility, Plants First Choice Canada and Green Select of Mississauga, Ontario.  He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Canada from the Netherlands where he worked in the Interior Landscape Industry for more than 25 years.   He was the owner of an interior landscape company and the founder and chairman of the Dutch Interior Landscape Association where together with suppliers, schools, the Dutch Floral Council, Dutch floral organizations and research institutes, much progress was achieved in the use and knowledge of plants.
