| Chapter meeting is Jan. 21 Join the Chapter for the annual Landscape Ontario roundup, with LO executive director Tony DiGiovanni and LO president Bob Adams. It will be held at the New Strathcona Paper Centre, 16 McPherson Drive, Napanee, Ont., on Jan. 21st, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Learn about the direction of LO for 2009. The second part of the meeting focuses on Managing Financial Statements. Learn the A, B, and C’s of managing financial statements and how to make them work for you. This presentation will help give you the starting tools for staying in business and knowing your costs. Lunch is provided. | Winter is time to brush-up business skills Ottawa is presenting an exciting series of green industry business management courses, based on the six required modules to achieve CLP certification. These are stand-alone business courses; if they wish, participants may write the corresponding CLP exam at the end of the day. | Trent to host job fair – Jan. 28 Trent University is hosting a Summer Job Fair on Wed., Jan. 28. Landscape Ontario members may staff a table to inform students about summer work in their industry and collect names and resumes of students interested in working in crews.
